Monroe Avenue House Fire, July 6, 2010
At 4:53 am The North Bellmore Fire Department received an alarm for a house fire on Monroe Avenue. Chief David Marschall, first on scene, arrived to find a fully envolved house fire and immediately realerted the alarm as a working house fire and requested mutual aid from neighboring departments. The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office was notified as well as the Building Department for safety reasons. The fire was under control in about ninety minutes and the last unit was released from the scene at 10am.Click here to view slideshow.

Building Fire, December 1, 2009
At 1:11 am The North Bellmore Fire District received multiple calls for a building fire and possible explosion at 1759 Bellmore Avenue (the former location of the Smithville Cafe). Chief David Marschall was the first to arrive at scene and immediately transmitted a signal 10 or working building fire. In addition to the ten units from the North Bellmore Fire Department the Bellmore, East Meadow and Wantagh Fire Departments provided mutual aid to the scene, and the North Merrick Fire Department provided standby coverage at our firehouse. The fire was under control in approximately ninety minutes and the last unit left the scene by 6:02 am. The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Arson team was notified and their investigation is ongoing. Huckleberry Road House Fire, November 20, 2009
The North Bellmore responded to a working house fire on Huckleberry Road in North Bellmore at approximately 3:00 am and the last units finished at appoximately 6 am. The Bellmore Fire and East Meadow Fire Departments provided mutual aid coverage to the scene of the fire and the Merrick and Wantagh Fire Departments provided standby coverage at our firehouses. Fire Prevention Open House, October 4, 2009

Signal 10 House Fire, August 28, 2009
At 3:17 pm the North Bellmore Fire Department responded to an alarm for smoke coming from a house located on Siems Court. The first responding unit arrived at scene by 3:21pm and size up and "signal 10" was transmitted by Chief Randy Meierdierks to our dispatching center. The fire, which began in the kitchen was under control within twenty five minutes and the last units left the scene by 5:07pm. In total approximately thirty firefighters were on hand to extinguish the fire. Mutul aid coverage was provided at scene by the East Meadow and North Merrick Fire Departments and the Bellmore and Wantagh Fire Departments provided standby coverage in our quarters.
